Dr Clements gained his specialist qualifications in General Practice after training in various locations in Australia and across the world. Under the Royal Australian Air Force Graduate Medical Scheme, Dr Clements served in Australia, the Middle East and on exchange in the United Kingdom before settling in Townsville. During this time Dr Clements qualified as a Specialist Aviation Medical Officer with the RAAF and he continues in the RAAF Specialist Reserve.
After some time spent as the Director of Medical Services at Ingham Hospital Dr Clements then moved on to Townsville Hospital as the Medical Director for Health and Wellbeing Service Group. During this time Dr Clements finalised his management training and has now returned to general practice and founded Clements Medical Group with a vision to provide quality, evidence-based team care using modern technology in a family medicine environment.
Dr Clements has a keen interest in Veteran’s and Men’s Health, Chronic disease, and palliative care, supports veterans through their DVA Claims and impairment assessments and continues to conduct aviation medicals from the Townsville City practice. Dr Clements conducts and leads the rural outreach clinics to North West QLD, sometimes as the pilot, sometimes as the doctor.

Dr Khong qualified as a general practitioner in England in 1994 and was a senior partner of a medical practice in London until he emigrated to Australia with his family in 2003. After practicing for 4 years in Alice Springs, he moved to Townsville and worked a year in Ayr before becoming the medical director at our Fairfield Central practice in 2018.
Dr Khong leads our Skin Cancer Medicine service and has an advanced level qualification from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

Dr Rossato grew up in Townsville and graduated medicine from the University of Queensland in 2004 and obtained her FRACGP in 2020.
Dr Rossato’s special interests are in women and children’s health, weight loss through low carbohydrate diet, and optimal management of diabetes. Dr Rossato offers Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTOP) services.
Dr Emma lives with husband, four children, two dogs and a cat.

Dr Rusoke-Dierich studied Medicine at the LMU Munich/Germany from 1992-1997, and at the FU Berlin/Germany from 1997-1998 where he graduated medicine. He completed his PhD in medicine (drug and alcohol) in 2007. He came to Australia in 2003 and worked for several years in Emergency Departments north of Brisbane. Since 2007, Dr. Olaf worked as a GP in rural and metropolitan areas and as a doctor for the Australian Defence Force.
Dr Rusoke-Dierich is author of several books and articles, mainly around diving medicine. He has a diverse medical background, including hyperbaric and diving medicine, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, emergency medicine, skin cancer treatment, sports injuries and chronic disease care. Dr Rusoke-Dierich uses his experience from the ADF to support veterans in their DVA claims and impairment assessments.

Dr Hogan grew up in North Queensland and graduated from James Cook University in 2012. She has worked in hospitals throughout the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Perth. She has undertaken further training in Women’s and Children’s health, including work at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Perth, and the former Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane (now Queensland Children’s Hospital).
Dr Hogan enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a special interest in women’s health, family planning and contraception, including Implanon and IUD insertion, pregnancy and breastfeeding medicine and paediatrics. Dr Hogan also offers Medical Termination of Pregnancy services.

Dr Lyndall Nurzynski completed her medical degree at Griffith University on the Gold Coast in 2015. She then spent 2 years working at Redland Hospital in Cleveland, QLD in a number of specialties, before completing her General Practice training in two areas of the Darling Downs, QLD (Dalby and Warwick). Lyndall completed her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2020, and then gained further experience in by working as a GP in the North Brisbane suburb of Albany Creek for a number of years. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice, with its opportunities to provide holistic care to her patients and their families. Dr LyndaII has particular interests in women’s health (including Implanon insertion), antenatal care, children’s health, mental health and health promotion. She is committed to professional development and plans to complete further education and training in these areas. In her free time, LyndaII enjoys keeping fit and healthy and spending time with her husband and daughter.
BTech(Av) MD FRACGP
Dr Head is a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) available for aviation medicine consultations including CASA examinations and general medical care for aviation medical certificate holders. He is authorised to examine for all classes of CASA medical certificates. When clinically appropriate, he can issue a Class 2 certificate on the day of assessment.
Dr Head has a background as both a specialist general practitioner and a professional pilot. He previously flew the F/A-18A with the Royal Australian Air Force throughout Australia and overseas. He continues to maintain a Commercial Pilots Licence and Instrument Rating.
With his operational aviation experience, Dr Head understands the concerns and pressures that come with maintaining a medical certificate and is committed to providing clear, supportive guidance throughout the process.
Consultations are available on Friday afternoons. If your medical is time-critical, please advise through reception and he will try to accommodate this.
Due to his ongoing military commitments, Dr Head is unable to offer general practice services for patients not holding an aviation medical certificate.

NC grew up in South Africa and immigrated to Canada.
Upon locating to Australia, NC attended James Cook University in Townsville and completed a Bachelor of Medicine. He is currently completing his ACRRM training. NC's special interests include emergency, rural medicine and paediatrics.

Dr Nel (Junnel) is originally from the Philippines where he completed his medical degree. Dr Nel practiced as Emergency Doctor in the Philippines before moving to Australia. Since arriving in North Queensland, he completed his Bachelor of Nursing Science at James Cook University. While working as a Clinical Nurse in Critical Care and Emergency, he completed the requirements to be a recognised Medical Practitioner in Australia.
Currently, Dr Nel is working towards completing fellowship in Rural and Remote Medicine with ACRRM.
He enjoys General Practice with interest in Chronic Diseases, Children's and Seniors Health and Emergency Medicine.
Dr Nel is also skilled in performing Ultrasound Guided Musculoskeletal (MSK) Steroid Injections and Joint Aspirations.
Dr Rachel Wong grew up in Brisbane and moved to Townsville in 2021. She completed her Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD) in 2019 at Griffith University. She received her Fellowship from the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2025. Dr Rachel is passionate about all areas of family medicine.

Kathie is an accomplished international medical graduate hailing from the vibrant city of Mumbai. With a Masters in Pathology, Kathie is currently honing her expertise in General Practice in Australia. Kathie has a profound interest in both Geriatric and Paediatric Medicine, reflecting a deep commitment to providing compassionate care across generations. Weight management is another area of her interest.
Beyond the professional realm, Kathie finds joy in spending quality time with family, exploring the great outdoors through hiking and trekking, and indulging in the serene pleasures of reading. Additionally, Kathie is learning to play the piano, bringing a touch of melody and harmony to her life.

She completed her medical degree at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India and gained clinical experience in both India and Saudi Arabia before successfully passing the Australian Medical Council exams in 2017. From 2021 to 2024, she worked at Townsville University Hospital and is currently a general practice registrar pursuing Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Her clinical interests include Women’s Health and preventative health. She has also completed the Sydney Child Health Program (SCHP) through the University of Sydney. Enthusiastic and compassionate, she is dedicated to delivering thorough, patient-focused care.

Dr Martin Wardle MD BSc FRACGP is a highly experienced General Practitioner with a broad range of clinical knowledge. He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2014 and has since worked in General Practice and Rural Emergency Medicine.
His areas of special interest include paediatrics, diabetes, weight loss, dermatology, and skin cancer medicine. He is skilled in minor procedures including skin excisions, steroid injections, implanon insertions and wound management. He is passionate about helping his patients and is always looking for ways to improve patient care and outcomes.
Outside of work, Martin enjoys spending time with his family. He has two children and loves taking them on outdoor adventures. He also enjoys running, kayaking, and cycling and often takes part in multisport races and other events.
Martin is a caring doctor who is dedicated to providing evidence-based treatments for his patients. He is committed to continually updating his knowledge and skills in order to deliver the best possible care.

Dr Almassi completed her medical degree at Universite Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels - Belgium.
She then qualified as a General Practitioner in England and worked as a GP in Yorkshire and West Midlands.
Dr Almassi has been working as a GP in Townsville since 2019.
She has a special interest in Women and Children's Health.
Dr Almassi is also fully qualified in all methods of contraception, including IUD and Implanon insertion and Medical Termination of Pregnancy.

Dr Sybille Dobber has joined our medical team in early 2023, relocating from rural Victoria where she worked as a country GP for the previous 16 years.
She was lured to Magnetic Island to take up the position of Medical Superintendent at the Magnetic Island Health Service (the clinic).
Sybille executes the full range of General Practice, ranging from skin surgery to women’s health procedures (including IUD insertion) to chronic health management.
Besides this she has special interest in pain management, with Medical Acupuncture as her special skill.
Sybille enjoys medical education, having lectured at Monash University and ACRRM, and is involved with JCU.
With 2 teenage daughters at University, Sybille now has more time to explore her hobbies, which include scuba diving and playing saxophone.

Dr. Estrellita Tanig is a Family Medicine Specialist and a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas. With a strong foundation in patient-centred care, she has built a career that spans hospital practice, occupational health, and innovative digital health solutions. She has experience as a company physician, providing preventive care, occupational health services, and wellness programs, while also maintaining active roles in hospital settings. Notably, Dr. Tanig is recognized as one of the pioneers of telehealth in the Philippines, helping advance accessible and technology-driven healthcare delivery long before it became mainstream.
Her medical career is marked by international experience, having practiced medicine in Oman, where she cared for diverse patient populations and adapted to multicultural healthcare environments. She later continued her professional journey in Australia, further expanding her clinical expertise and integrating global best practices into her approach to family medicine. Dr. Tanig is known for her adaptability, compassion, and commitment to lifelong learning. Her work reflects a deep dedication to improving patient outcomes, embracing innovation in healthcare, and serving communities across different healthcare systems.
BN MD FRCPC (Canada) FACEM PGDipMedSci (Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine, University of Auckland) DipDHM (SPUMS) PhD candidate (JCU)
Dr Denise Blake is a Canadian trained Emergency Physician who moved to Townsville in 2005 to pursue a career in Diving Medicine. While working at the Townsville Hyperbaric Medicine Unit, she completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Diving Medicine through the University of Auckland and then her SPUMS diploma in diving medicine. She is currently a PhD candidate at James Cook University with her PhD thesis titled: First responder and pre-hospital treatment of decompression sickness: Oxygen delivery and retrieval considerations.
She is an avid scuba diver and started her journey as a PADI instructor over 30 years ago. She has spent time underwater throughout the Caribbean and Pacific regions. Her favourite diving spot is Cozumel, Mexico where she is helping set up a new research program. She has taught diving physiology at JCU and provides occupational dive medicals for scientific divers.
Dr Blake is the author of many research articles in the areas of emergency and diving medicine. Her interest is in supporting the scientific dive community in Townsville.

Dr. Rooney was born and spent his 1st decade of life in Manus Island, Papua New Guinea (PNG). He has lived, studied and worked in both PNG and Australia, and calls both countries home.
He received his undergraduate medical degree from the University of PNG in 2001 and spent the next several years working in the field of Pathology. After this experience, Dr Rooney realised that his true passion lies within General Practice.
Prior to moving to Townsville, Dr. Rooney worked as a GP in the rural town of Tamworth, NSW for the last three years.
Dr Rooney holds a certificate of the Australian Medical Council and is training towards his Fellowship with the RACGP. His special interest areas are in diabetes and aviation medicine.
Outside of work, he likes to spend time with family and friends. He is also an avid gardener, painter and enjoys exploring remote locations both inland and out at sea, especially where he can catch a fish or three!

Dr Bjoern Kempf completed his medical degree with honours at Queen’s University Belfast and has worked extensively across both Australia and the United Kingdom in emergency medicine, acute care, rural medicine, and general practice.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and has experience working in tertiary and regional hospitals including Royal Darwin Hospital, Townsville University Hospital, Katherine Hospital, and the Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast.
Dr Kempf has a strong interest in adult medicine, preventative health, chronic disease management, men’s health, occupational medicine, and evidence-based medicinal cannabis prescribing for selected conditions. His background in emergency and acute medicine has provided extensive experience managing complex medical presentations across diverse patient populations.
He values a practical, evidence-based approach to medicine and aims to work collaboratively with patients to optimise long-term health outcomes.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys fitness, travelling, and spending time outdoors in beautiful North Queensland.

Dr Colthart grew up in New Zealand and graduated medicine from Otago University and completed his specialist training as a GP in the UK, gaining MRCGP in 2008 and FRACGP in 2014.
Dr Colthart moved to Townsville in 2018 and works part time at the Clements Medical Townsville city clinic. He also teaches medical students and GP trainees at JCU and is a part-time Medical Officer for the Magnetic Island Emergency Health Service.
Dr Colthart’s special interests are musculoskeletal, exercise medicine and all aspects of chronic disease management, focussing on helping patients feel in control of their care and able to lead the fullest lives possible.

Dr Evangéline Capuano is a General Practitioner with special interests in mental health, paediatrics, and neurodevelopmental care.
She provides comprehensive assessment and ongoing management for ADHD and other neurodevelopmental differences in children, adolescents, and adults. Dr Capuano is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centred care, with a strong focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for individuals and families.

Jenna Stoeckel is a Clinical Psychologist based in sunny Townsville, North Queensland. She’s passionate about walking alongside people through life’s ups and downs, helping them feel more understood, supported, and equipped to make meaningful changes. Jenna began her journey in psychology with a Bachelor of Psychology that she completed in 2011. She then spent time working in a variety of roles that gave her valuable insight into the many different experiences people bring to therapy. Inspired to deepen her knowledge and continue making a difference, she returned to James Cook University to complete her Master of Clinical Psychology, followed by the two-year Clinical Psychology Registrar program.
Over the years, Jenna has worked with children, teens, and adults across a wide range of settings including schools, community organisations, government services, and private practice. These experiences have shaped a flexible, client-centred approach that meets people where they’re at. At the heart of her work is the belief that therapy should feel safe, respectful, and empowering. Jenna brings warmth, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to her sessions, working alongside each person to build practical, meaningful strategies that support their wellbeing and personal growth. Kym grew up in country Victoria before moving to Townsville to complete her Psychology studies at James Cook University. She has over 15 years of experience, working in a variety of fields, including disability, primary education, child and youth mental health, child health, perinatal and infant mental health, chronic disease and hospital settings including paediatrics and neonatal intensive care.
Her special interests include trauma and attachment, depression, anxiety, women and children’s mental health, family relationships and parenting. She also enjoys conducting cognitive, developmental and educational assessments for children.
She uses a variety of therapeutic approaches and modalities including, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Family Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Circle of Security and Positive Parenting approaches.

Dr Bec grew up in Canada and moved to Australia in 2019. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Queensland in 2022. Since then she has been working out of the Townsville hospital, and she has just begun working toward her fellowship with the RACGP.
Bec has a particular interest in seniors health and rural and remote medicine.

Dr Maisie, born in England, emigrated to Australia in 2004 and then grew-up throughout rural Queensland at Croydon, Dimbulah and Wandoan.
Dr Maisie moved to Townsville in 2018 and completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at James Cook University Townsville, graduating in 2023. Dr Maisie completed her internship and residency at Townsville University Hospital, rotating through Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Medicine and Surgery and rural terms at Ingham and Ayr Hospital.
Dr Maisie completed her medical training under the Australian Army Long Term Schooling Scheme and is currently posted to Lavarack Barracks. She is a RACGP Registrar and has special interests in emergency, critical care and sports medicine. However, she does provide, Women’s Health (including Implanon Insertion), Antenatal Care, Paediatrics, Medical Termination of Pregnancy and Men’s Health among ongoing chronic disease management.
Outside of medicine Dr Maisie is an avid sports fan. She has played Rugby Union for 5-years including for local and regional/state representative teams but also playing for the Australian Army and Australian Defence Force, including previously representing the ADF at the Defence Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

Bianca was born and raised in Townsville and completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at James Cook University in 2022. She completed general hospital rotations at TUH including Psychiatry, Anaesthetics, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology, along with rural training terms in Ingham, Charters Towers, and Ayr.
Bianca is currently an ACRRM Registrar completing her general practice training at our Charters Towers Clinic. She has a strong interest in psychiatry and lifestyle medicine, and enjoys taking a holistic approach to the management of chronic conditions.
She lives in Townsville with her husband and her dog, Franklin.

Dr Mitchell grew up in South East Melbourne and completed his Doctor of Medicine at Monash University in 2022, spending most of his time on placement in the rural Gippsland region. Upon graduating university, he moved up to North Queensland and has worked within both the Mackay and Townsville Hospital and Health Services including several of their rural facilities. He is now pursuing Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
He enjoys all areas of general practice across young children to chronic disease management. Outside of work he is actively involved in the local basketball community.

He is completing his training to be a rural Generalist.

Lucinda completed her medical degree at Western Sydney University in 2023 and is currently undertaking fellowship training with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
She has developed broad clinical experience across South West Sydney, the Northern Rivers, Wide Bay and Townsville, and enjoys the variety and community connection that comes with working in different regional settings.
Her professional interests include paediatrics, antenatal care, emergency, and lifestyle medicine. She is also completing postgraduate studies with the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Child Health.
Lucinda is passionate about supporting the next generation of clinicians and has been actively involved in education, mentoring and advocacy for medical students and junior doctors throughout her training.
Outside of work, she loves exploring each new place she calls home and meeting new people. She also enjoys spending time with friends and travelling whenever she can.
Rural Generalist GP - MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Bronte Moon is a Rural Generalist GP at Clements Medical in Cloncurry, providing compassionate, comprehensive care to individuals and families across all stages of life. She values building strong, long-term relationships with her patients and is committed to delivering thoughtful, evidence-based care in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Dr Moon has a special interest in skin checks and skin cancer management, IUD insertion and removal, family planning, and chronic disease management. She enjoys the diversity of rural general practice and is passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of the Cloncurry community.

Dr Wai Lin Naing is a General Practitioner based in Queensland, Australia, with clinical experience across both regional hospitals and private general practice settings. He currently works in rural and regional Queensland, in Cloncurry, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to rural communities.
Dr Naing holds General Registration with AHPRA and is undertaking specialist training through the RACGP AGPT pathway, with a long-term goal of practising as a Rural GP Specialist. His hospital background includes acute care, emergency presentations, chronic disease management, and procedural medicine in resource-limited settings.
He has a particular interest in:

Dr Naing believes in holistic, evidence-based care and works collaboratively with patients to support informed decision-making and long-term health outcomes. He is passionate about strengthening healthcare access in MM6 and remote communities across Queensland.
Outside of medicine, Dr Naing has an interest in football, technology in healthcare, and financial literacy.

Dr Andrew Cahoon obtained a Bachelor of Science, BSc degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta, Canada. He then went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, MBBS from the University of Queensland in 2017. In 2018 he moved to Mount Isa where he worked for 6 years in the hospital, and starting in 2021 he began working at a GP practice in town in addition to at the hospital. In 2024 Dr Cahoon moved to Cloncurry where he currently works in both the hospital and GP settings.
Dr Cahoon is married with 5 children - so he spends most of his spare time trying to entertain his kids - which usually involves playing monster, swimming and board games. He speaks English and Italian. He has an interest in skin cancer, emergency medicine and rural health.

Born and raised in Myanmar, I practiced medicine for few years before moving to Australia. For the past three years, I have been based in Mackay, rotating through various subspecialties to gain a broad range of clinical expertise. I am now pleased to be settling in Cloncurry. I am particularly passionate about paediatrics, chronic disease management, and preventive medicine.
In my personal time, I enjoy the focus and creativity of crocheting, baking, and building lego blocks. I’m a big fan of anything that requires a bit of patience and a steady hand.

Dr Carmela is a dedicated and highly experienced medical practitioner originally from the Philippines. She brings more than a decade of clinical expertise, having worked across a wide range of specialties in hospitals and primary care settings throughout Queensland, including Mount Isa, Cairns, the Atherton Tablelands, the Torres Strait Islands, Gympie and the Sunshine Coast.
Outside of work, she enjoys weekend markets and going on travel & food adventures with her husband.

Dr Jillian McClimon is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine with advanced skills in emergency care. She brings extensive experience in rural and remote medicine and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, community-based healthcare.
Dr Jillian began her medical career as a junior doctor in Mackay, completing placements across Bowen, Dysart, Collinsville and Clermont. Over the past eight years, she has been based at Sarina Hospital, including two years serving as Medical Superintendent. Throughout her career, she has held a range of clinical and leadership roles and is recognised for her work in trauma care, emergency medicine, and antimicrobial stewardship.
She is also a qualified forensic medical examiner, with additional training in forensic and rural health settings.
Dr Jillian has recently relocated to Cloncurry with her husband and young son. She is passionate about rural health and is proud to serve a community she describes as resilient, welcoming and strong. She looks forward to building meaningful connections with her patients and working closely with the local healthcare team to deliver excellent care across the region.
Registrar in training for ACRRM
Dr. Naomi completed her medical degree at James Cook University (JCU) in 2018. She is currently working towards her GP fellowship with ACRRM and has spent the past four years practicing at Charters Towers Hospital, primarily in the Emergency Department, as well as at the Women’s Clinic. Dr. Naomi is skilled in the insertion and removal of IUDs and Implanon devices and provides medical termination of pregnancy services.
She also enjoys the diversity of rural general practice, particularly in caring for patients holistically across their lifespan. Dr Naomi is trained in the Neurodevelopmental Care/Possums approach and is passionate about providing postpartum and breastfeeding support to families. Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Naomi contributes to teaching and research at JCU.
She lives remotely with her husband, son, and three dogs—Daisy, Jeffery, and Sharky—and understands the unique challenges and rewards of rural life.

Stephanie Ting has spent most of her years training in Toowoomba with occasional forays to Oakey, Millmerran, Kingaroy, Goondiwindi and Warwick.
She enjoys the variety of family medicine with a special interest in emergency medicine and child health.
In her free time, she enjoys travelling and baking, and dabbles in gardening.
